About the project
The Elegant Ensuite remodel – A fresh start.
This couple contacted us about updating their master bathroom. The old bathroom had a fiberglass shower, dim lighting, and vinyl flooring. It was time for an upgrade. We tore most of the bathroom out leaving only the whirlpool tub in its original spot. The shower was made larger, the vanity cabinetry was extended to allow for double sinks and a linen cabinet was added for additional storage.
We discussed enclosing the shower with walls but after some conversation decided to encase it with glass to keep the airy feeling. Working with a smaller than normal footprint meant keeping the space open and balanced. With the tub on one side of the vanity, we balanced the space by adding a linen to the left. This made the space feel equally weighted.
Sliding the stone of the whirlpool tub into the shower really tied the two spaces together and made them feel connected. The white color stone complimented the darker tones in the tile. The fluted columns around the bathroom gave it an elegant feel while the modern fixtures keep it trendy. Little accents here and there lend to unique space that allows you to relax and enjoy the serenity.
